Doctors in Serbia are demanding the return of online classes and the introduction of covide passes
The medical unit of the Serbian Crisis Staff will request that all schools in Serbia be transferred to online classes, for at least 10 days, during which time the vaccination coverage of children aged 12 to 18 will be increased.
Doctors from the Serbian Crisis Staff will also ask application of covid bandages - for all indoor premises, except in shops where food is sold.
- We need to solve this catastrophic epidemiological situation urgently, following the same model as other civilized countries - Serbian media report the statements of the medical part of the crisis headquarters.
The Serbian medical community believes that at the moment only about one percent of children are vaccinated, and that with mass immunization of school-age children, starting at age 12 and with just one dose of the vaccine, they would achieve a fantastic result. That's the only way to protect children, who are increasingly suffering from covidium, even with an extremely severe clinical picture, Serbian doctors believe.
Regarding the recent measures, the medical part of the Serbian Crisis Staff said that they are insufficient and that covide passes should be mandatory throughout the day, and not just after 22 pm as decided last week.
Since May, we have been insisting on the introduction of the "passport" of kovid and we believe that it is clear to everyone that such a partial solution can not lead us to the goal. It is not time for rallies, neither at 10 am nor at 22 pm, Serbian epidemiologists believe.
In the past period, disagreements have emerged in the public about the introduction of new measures on the medical part of one and the economic-political part of the Serbian crisis headquarters to fight the pandemic on the other.
Contrary to medics who warn of a rapid spread of the virus and demand a 10-day complete closure of Serbia to prevent the spread of the virus, political and economic members of the crisis headquarters have so far refused to agree to closure for fear of repercussions and new blows to the Serbian economy.
