The legendary tennis player, Martina Navratilova has revealed she has beaten cancer after a diagnosis of throat cancer left her fearing she 'might not make it to next Christmas'.

One of the world's greatest tennis players and former number one in women's tennis in an interview with Pierce Morgan stated that she still has preventive treatment ahead of her, but that according to the latest information, the cancer is no longer there.

"Many things came to mind that I wanted to do. I thought, it's the first week of December and I'll see this Christmas, but maybe not next. "Fortunately, everything went well, as far as I know now I have no more cancer," said Navratilova.

Navratilova, who is 66 years old today, is the winner of 59 Grand Slam singles and doubles titles.
