LDP starts the engines for local elections: Zajkova is not giving up the seat
A concrete strategy for better results with more influence in local self-government than before and ready to enter the local elections next year, these are some of the conclusions that emerged from the meetings between representatives of the municipal organizations in Eastern Macedonia and the leadership of the Liberal Democratic Party, led by from the president Monika Zajkova, the party announced.
- There are political proposals, there are organizational proposals, there are also proposals for candidates for mayors and councilors, and there are those who call for an early congress. These last ones are as usual, noisier and without a concrete proposal as it is done in developed democracies, mostly for the sake of personal and not collective interests - pointed out Zajkova.
She adds that we should be guided by the collective and party interest, which is better policies for citizens and better results.
-Unlike the noisy few, the majority, the quieter ones, are the ones who come up with political proposals, clearly liberal and ideologically anchored. And sometimes, it's good for them to be quieter, because we have to be careful, it's already become a habit of the bigger parties to copy&paste our proposals - Zajkova pointed out and called again to calm the passions and unify the ranks.
At the meeting with the representatives of the municipal organizations from the east of the country, they discussed the future steps of the party, its positioning and the current activities of the party, especially after the parliamentary elections this year. At the meeting, Zajkova discussed with those present about the proposal of the LDP to reduce the profit tax to 9%, about the abolition of unnecessary bank charges of the citizens, but also about the Euro-Atlantic integration and about other solutions to problems and challenges that the citizens face every day.
Members of the LDP are demanding Congress and the replacement of the party leadership, which they claim the party wants to bring into the ruling coalition. They also claimed that two days ago the Bitola LDP opened a debate on whether the party should join the ruling majority. The majority of those present allegedly reacted violently and called the offer unprincipled.
The general secretary of the party, Bobby Mojsoski, claims that the information about the change of leadership is not correct.
