The singer Lambe Alabakovski was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of six months for the burning of the "Ivan Mihailov" cultural center in Bitola on June 4 this year. The verdict was pronounced last week, and it became final today.

Alabakovsky's lawyer, Darko Stefanovski, confirmed for Radio Free Europe that the sentence will not be implemented if his client does not commit a new crime in the next two years.

Alabakovski, who pleaded guilty to the crime, had his two travel documents returned and his security measures were lifted.

After the incident, the singer was sentenced to eight days of detention, then he was released to house arrest, and later he was allowed to defend himself from freedom.
