Lajcak claims that Kosovo accepted the EU's proposal in principle

The special representative of the European Union for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, today expressed his satisfaction that Kosovo accepted in principle the EU's proposal for the normalization of relations between the two sides.

"I am glad that Kosovo accepted the EU's proposal in principle. We will continue our talks at a high-level meeting," Lajcak announced on Twitter.

The high representative of the EU added that on Monday in Pristina and Belgrade he spoke with the Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi, and then with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the President of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic.

Yesterday, after the meeting with Lajcak, Vucic wrote on Instagram that they had an "open and friendly conversation"
