Lajcak recommends dialogue to overcome tensions in Kosovo
The representative of the European Union for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and other regional issues in the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak, said that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, conveyed to him at today's meeting great concern about the situation in which the Serbs in Kosovo are, reported the correspondent of MIA from Belgrade.
Lajcak wrote this on his profile on the X social network after the meeting in Belgrade, which, he added, was preparation for the next meeting of the main negotiators.
- I emphasized that we should talk and find agreed solutions within the dialogue, said Lajcak.
President Vucic today at a press conference, after separate meetings with Lajcak and the American ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, said that in the next 72 hours he will address the public about what Serbia is demanding due to the brutal attack on the Serbian population, primarily on the north of Kosovo.
Vucic stressed that Belgrade is always open to dialogue with Pristina and that he is ready to go to Brussels to continue the dialogue with Kurti.
- But Serbia is not ready and will not allow pogrom and persecution of its population, said Vucic.
