La Liga is not giving up, asking the court in Paris to annul Mbappe's contract with PSG
Not even two months after Kylian Mbappe left Real Madrid and extended his contract with PSG, the leaders of La Liga are not enough to put up with it and have announced the continuation of the "war" with the French team.
La Liga and its president Javier Tebas today asked the Administrative Court in Paris to annul Mbappe's contract with PSG, reports AFP.
La Liga is also seeking the annulment of the validation of club accounts by the National Directorate of Control and Management (DNCG).
Both requests were rejected, but the Court in Paris said that they will not make an immediate decision, but they will be considered in the next period.
– We expected this decision. It was a technical appeal and it is possible that the final decision will not be made before the end of the 2022/2023 season - said the lawyer of La Liga, Juan Branco.
The lawyer said that La Liga is ready to go all the way with the Mbappe case.
- We want to appear before the courts in France, but we encounter a lot of resistance. This is just the first step before we go to the European courts in a few months - added Branko, who believes that PSG did not respect the rules of League 1, DNCG, as well as UEFA's financial fair play.
Branco accused the French champion of financial malpractice, that is, of keeping false accounting with fictitious budgets, as well as "forming a system of sponsors that are directly dependent on Qatar."
PSG is owned by the Qatari royal family.
