Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in his speech at the joint session of the parliaments of Albania and Kosovo, which is held in Tirana, congratulating the Independence Day said that they should be together not only on holidays. He added that the hostilities between the two countries should be forgotten and that we should "fight together, not only the politicians, but also the whole nation".

According to him, Kosovo rejoices at every success of the governments of Albania, both previous and current, and vice versa.

- On this day, let's put our hands on our hearts, ask if we have done our duty for the country, recognize our mistakes, forget the enmities that separate us, shake hands and swear that today and back we will fight for the honor of our nation. We need to be together more often, not only us politicians, to work together. While democracy was coming to Eastern Europe, a leading political scientist said that Albanian politicians, by emphasizing division, are giving reasons to those who want to see them divided. Tomorrow we celebrate 110 years of independence in Valona. In Kosovo, we look forward to every success of the government, both the previous and the current one. You have made great strides. I wish the successes don't stop and add to the flag, Kurti said.

He reminded that today marks the 25th anniversary of the formation of the national army of Kosovo.

-Albania has made great strides forward, today it is a member of NATO, a member of the United Nations and has made significant strides in various fields. We wish that the successes of Albania will not stop. I am sure that in Albania they are also happy about the successes of Kosovo. We already have the common primer and are working on the common encyclopedic dictionary. We have unified labor markets with Albania and we are working on unifying customs, he said.
