Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Infrastructure Liburn Aliu, visited the place where the works began on the Prizren-Tetovo road, which, as he pointed out, connects these two historic cities of the two neighboring countries and is of particular importance, as for the citizens , as well as for the economy, reported the correspondent of MIA from Pristina.

In a video posted today on his Facebook page, Kurti says that work is starting with the Struža segment, from the connection to the Ibrahim Rugova highway in Prizren, and "work will be done every day until the realization of this much-desired infrastructure connection."

"Now we are starting the works, it (the segment) is nearly seven kilometers long and worth 8,3 million euros... We need to give maximum support for this infrastructure project to be completed as soon as possible, because a lot of time has been lost for Prizren and Tetovo to remain so long apart,” Kurti said.

The Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, said that this project, in addition to connecting the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway with the Ionian-Adriatic Corridor and Corridor 8 on the other side, near Tetovo, will also serve for mountain tourism on both sides sides and will contribute to the economic development of both countries.
