Kurti: A final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is planned by March
The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti today he told the deputies in the Parliament of Kosovo that the European Union and the United States "plan to reach a final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia in March next year", he announced Nova.rs.
He also said that the EU and the USA themselves "want a new dynamic" and that "it is a proposal of the EU.
Kurti said that 33 agreements signed so far should be reviewed.
"There is a proposal, as a good basis for discussion, and of course the past Brussels agreements are mentioned there, but the proposal of August 18 that I gave as a general framework for the agreement is also mentioned. "I don't want to deny that 33 contracts have been signed, but I didn't sign them, we have to review them," Kurti said.
The Assembly of Kosovo did not adopt a motion for a resolution submitted by the opposition Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, which calls, in addition to delaying the implementation of the government's decision on license plates, which was agreed in Brussels on November 23, to start a dialogue with the Kosovo Serbs and that they be invited to return to the institutions.
The Serbs left the institutions due to the decision of the Government of Kosovo to re-register vehicles with Serbian plates with Kosovo plates - RKS.
Kurti for the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung said he would not go to Brussels to negotiate the number plate issue, but a comprehensive deal, which he said must be reached before spring 2023.
The Serbian president Aleksandar Vuќi. commenting on the statement of the Kosovo Prime Minister, he said that Kurti can be in Brussels when he wants and how he wants, that's his problem and wished him a happy journey.
