"Kultura Beta" organizes a literary gathering with the poet Juliana Velichkovska in "Bukva"
The informal youth association "Kultura Beta" announced a literary meeting with Juliana Velichkovska. The event will take place on November 26, at the "Bukva" cafe-bookstore, starting at 20 p.m.
Those present at the event will be able to follow a conversation dedicated to Velichkovska's works and translations, a reading from the poetry collections "Komarci" and "Open Book" and from the novel "Seasons", and the poetic film "Kapishtec Commune 2001" by Marija Shakleva will be shown. and Sandra Gjorgieva, based on Velichkovska's song of the same name. The moderator of the event will be the young poet Andrej Medic Lazarevski.
The author Juliana Velichkovska graduated from the Faculty of Philology "Blaze Koneski" at the University "Saints Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje at the Department of Macedonian Literature and South Slavic Literatures. She is a poet, writer, editor and translator.
She is a member of the organizing board of the international cultural event "Poetry Night in Velestovo", she is the co-founder and director of the "Skopje Poetry Festival", she is a member of the Society of Writers of Macedonia and the founder of the publishing house "PNV Publications" in Skopje.
She is the author of two poetry collections "Mosquitoes" (2010, "PNV Publications") and "Open Book" (2017, "PNV Publications"), one novel - "Seasons" (2014, 2015, 2019, "PNV Publications"). ) and a monograph "20 years of Poetic Night in Velestovo" (2009, "Poetic Night in Velestovo"), and he is also a translator of more than 20 works.
