The cult model cut: I don't want men in my bed anymore – I'm not interested in them!
The Canadian model Linda the Evangelist (58) revealed that she is "not interested" in romantic relationships. In his new and candid interview for the Sunday Times, she admitted that she "doesn't want to sleep with anyone anymore."
The fashion star, who recently opened up about the drastic diets she followed in her youth, joked that she "doesn't want to hear anyone breathing next to her". According to the model, she last tried to date someone in 2015, before her failed cosmetic procedure, which she said left her "brutally disfigured".
Evangelista gained a lot of attention when she showed off her pregnant belly on the August 2006 cover of Vogue. The model sued her ex-partner François-Henri Pinault for child support in 2011, and the couple reached an out-of-court settlement the following year. Then the French businessman began a love affair with the actress Salma Hayek, whom he married in 2009. Evangelista revealed that she has since "resolved" her relationship issues with her ex-partner and his wife.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, she revealed that she didn't start working out until she was in her thirties because her "crazy metabolism" kept her fit for the catwalk. Evangelista began her fashion career at the age of 19 after signing with Elite Model Management and moving to New York. Due to her great success in the fashion world, she then moved to Paris, but soon realized that she was struggling to maintain her weight due to her fast metabolism.
During the guest appearance in the podcast of Ruth Rogers, the model opened up about her eating difficulties.
"I used to be able to eat anything, but I think my metabolism started to slow down around the age of 30. "I started working out when I was 27, 28 because I noticed things were a little different," she explained.
She noted that she was shocked to discover that her metabolism had suddenly changed as she got older, and discovered what eating tactics she used to stay in shape.
"I had to work on keeping the weight off. There came a period when I had to be really careful and I started cleaning my body constantly. I think it was very harmful for me," said Evangelista, who underwent certain treatments and practiced diets.
"You only drink liquids, mostly water with lemon and mint and teas, and you also get a glass of juice a day. Once a day you get a very diluted, watered-down vegetable they call 'soup,'” she revealed, adding that she now allows herself to eat whatever she wants, as long as it's of the best quality and doesn't affect her weight.
"If I want to eat pasta - I will enjoy it, because I try to watch my weight and be healthy. If I want to eat pasta, it has to be great. "If I'm going to eat steak, it's got to be the best steak," she said.
