The leadership of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions (KSS) today met with the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE on the occasion of the request of KSS to provide funds in the supplementary budget for harmonization of salaries in the public sector with the minimum wage.

KSS informed that they supported the amendment to increase wages by 2.806 denars, which is proposed by the Federation of Trade Unions, but that they demanded that all workers be included, regardless of whether they are from the public or private sector.

KSS also proposed an amendment to provide one billion denars as financial support for employees in the private sector, namely employees with a net salary of 18.000 to 21.000 denars to receive 3.000 denars for three months, and employees with a net salary of 21.000 to 24.000 denars, three months at 2.000 denars.

- The reason for our request is the huge inflation and the inability of the poorest workers to service their living expenses in the coming months and prepare for the severe winter, and on the other hand to encourage consumption which would benefit the business. The parliamentary group of VMRO - DPMNE understandably accepted our request to submit such an amendment and it will be submitted in order to provide funds from the budget rebalance and to help the poorest workers in the country, informs KSS.

KSS calls on all MPs to support this initiative, which will show real care for workers in the country.
