Criminal charges against an inspector who due to negligent work damaged the budget of the Ministry of Interior
Due to suspicion of committing a criminal act "unscrupulous work in the service", the Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Interior, filed criminal charges against AR, an independent inspector at the Regional Center for Border Affairs South.
The reported person, from 23.02 to 07.08.2020, as an independent financial advisor in the same organizational unit, did not immediately submit the invoices he received from one company for records and proper verification with an acceptance stamp, but kept them with him and submitted them after the expiration on the scheduled payment deadline.
Due to the negligent and untimely execution of the work obligations of the reported person, the company prepared an interest list for late payment, which damaged the Budget of the Ministry of Interior.
