Christopher Hill assessed the NATO bombing of Serbia as a "diplomatic failure"

The American ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, announced on his "Twitter" profile that the Serbian people "must not forget" the anniversary of the NATO bombing of Belgrade and that it was a "diplomatic failure", reports Serbian "new".
"I dedicated my life to diplomacy - finding diplomatic solutions to seemingly intractable problems. I have learned throughout my career that diplomacy sometimes fails. When this happens, the results can be tragic. I offer my personal condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the wars of the 1990s, including those resulting from the NATO air campaign. I know that the Serbian people will never forget that terrible time, nor should they," Hill wrote.

"The Serbian people will never put their grief aside, but I believe they are strong enough to do it. The commitment of the United States to our partnership with Serbia is unwavering, as is our commitment to diplomacy. Together we can build a better future that the Serbian people deserve and want for future generations," concluded Hill.
