Ande Jankov's crime novel "Vienna Gambit" was translated into Bulgarian in Sofia

The second novel of the Macedonian writer Ande Jankov entitled "Vienna Gambit", published by the publishing house "Antolog" in 2020, was recently published in a Bulgarian translation by the publishing house "Persei" from Sofia. The translation is by Marian Petrov.

The author Jankov was born in Veles in 1988. He is a novelist, narratologist and lecturer. He finished his studies at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje.

The novel "Vienna Gambit" is the first part of a longer series about the police inspector Viktor Nikolov from Skopje. The series is conceived as an eight-part narrative, following the pattern of contemporary crime series from European literature.

So far, four parts of the series have been published by "Anthologist". The latest installment, Kobayashi Maru, was released in April 2024. In addition to this series, Jankov is also the author of the novel "One Summer in Crete", which won the "Romaniada" award for 2015.
