Creative studio with "Alexander Stone Art": I have more than 25.000 different stones in my collection

"The very process of collecting and classifying the pebbles grew into another phase, when I got the idea to give those pebbles another dimension, and that is to make decorative 3D creations," says Aleksandar.

Nature never ceases to inspire us. With just one touch of the creative hands of man, even the smallest detail hidden within it can become an incredible work of art.

Alexander Radicheski from Gostivar expresses his love for art and creative work through photography, collecting, but also the creation of unique decorative objects and paintings from pebbles and wood.

He regularly shares his unusual handmade creations on his Instagram profile. "Alexander Stone Art".

Aleksandar, when did your love for art and creative work begin?

– Each of us carries a love of art with us, how much, how and whether it will grow into something bigger and more serious depends on the creativity we have as a natural talent. For me, that attraction to photography and nature existed from an early age, but over the years, it gradually grew into a passion and hobby that expanded into several fields: photography, making decorations from pebbles, making objects from wood, which became increasingly interesting to the wider public. I have presented part of my artistic creation through exhibitions, participation in photography competitions, and television presentations. The inspiration for creation is inexhaustible, and my collection of newly created works is increasing and expanding every day. This love of art, creative creation, will remain with me for many years to come.

How did you come up with the idea of making decorative objects from pebbles?

– It all came about completely spontaneously and unplanned. It all started with collecting pebbles, first as a hobby, then it became a habit and later grew into a hobby. I began to classify that entire palette of diverse pebbles according to various criteria: color, shape, size, composition. The very process of collecting and classifying the pebbles grew into another phase when I got the idea to give those pebbles another dimension, and that is the making of decorative 3D creations. With that, the pebbles gained a soul, expressed through my creativity, and a truly interesting and unusual artistic dimension was obtained that is present in many homes of lovers of this type of art.

Your decorative objects with pebbles are unique and unusual. Where do you draw inspiration for the design and do you accept suggestions from customers?

– The 3D installation paintings with pebbles and natural materials are a work that personally originates from me as the author, without previously looking for a way and ideas for what kind of work could be created, that is, the pebbles themselves and their size determine the themes and of course the dimension of the entire frame. Also, the suggestions themselves are part of the production, the clients determine the theme for which I realize it according to my vision.

You also have a collection of various retro items. Where does your love for collecting come from? And what can be found in your collection?

– In addition to art, there is also a passion for collecting. After the initial collection of more than 25.000 pebbles, a desire for antique retro objects emerged. I own 130 retro telephones from all over the world that are in perfect condition, from the First World War until 1988. In addition to them, there are also antique objects from 1717 to 1980, coins, watches, pipes, ceramic, copper, silver, brass objects and many others.

Is there a creative technique you would like to perfect and practice in the future?

– As an author of 3D creations, I am constantly improving my work with ideas and new methods and ways of working that would make it easier for me. However, I would like to mention that it is an extremely difficult process where all kinds of tools are used, mostly miniature ones, which make my work easier: ultra-small scalpels, knives, tweezers, needles. In the future, I will work on encasing the image itself in epoxy resin, but of course that is quite complex and I hope that one day it will become a reality.
