MP from VMRO-DPMNE, Dragan Kovacki, at today's session on parliamentary issues in the Parliament, accused the Minister of the Interior that a company that received a tender for food from the Ministry of the Interior also received a grant from the state for the construction of a factory, as well as a tender of 13 million euros .

In particular, in Gjorce Petrov, in the barracks, we have a completely new facility built ten years ago, and precisely when Oliver Spasovski was the Minister of the Interior, that facility was further modernized and a state-of-the-art kitchen was purchased. So by all butchery standards. It is the same with the Training Center in Idrizovo. So we have new kitchens with new state-of-the-art equipment for food preparation and storage. Kitchens where until now hardworking and experienced staff prepared food for police officers. But this time, be careful, for the first time in independent Macedonia, the police officers stationed in these facilities that I mentioned will consume food that will be procured from a private company. And it was not from any company, but from a company that was founded precisely with the support of the DUI Government, in which the Social Democratic Union also participates. So, the Ministry of the Interior built new facilities such as kitchen and dining blocks, i.e. it acquired expensive new equipment, but provided food services to a company that received a grant of 1.6 million euros from the Government, Kovacki pointed out.

He says that the minister of interior affairs was also present at the laying of the foundation stone of the factory plant in Gazi Baba.

With the two tenders of the Ministry of the Interior of almost 13 million euros, of which for a period of 36 months, the company "Industry Service" can collect up to 4,5 million euros on average. And that is almost a third more money compared to last year, when the Ministry of Interior gave or spent about 3.3 million euros for food. This way of procuring food in the Ministry of the Interior will cost the institution much more money than cooking the food in the Ministry of the Interior's kitchens, the MP points out.

He pointed out that from the contracts of the Ministry of the Interior it can be noted that the food is from other producers, and not from the company that delivers them, accusing that the company "Industry Service" only put their own margin on the cans and as a consequence, Kovacki says that "the Ministry of the Interior pays more than if we were to produce ourselves." The question addressed to Minister Spasovski was "How many percent of the company's margin belongs to him personally".

Spasovski replied that there is nothing disputed from a procedural and legal point of view.

It was made on the basis of analysis and economic justification, which is the basis for tendering any public procurement in the area of such services for the procurement of food, that is, the selection of an operator who will practically supply us with food, noted Minister Spasovski.

He categorically denied the finding that for the first time in the history of independent Macedonia, a catering facility is given to a private company that should supply a unit.

It is not true, because the facility that was leased, outside the Ilinden barracks, to serve food to the SAE Tiger, was operating all the time with an operator from outside. During the entire 12-year reign of VMRO-DPMNE, an agreement was concluded with a bar from Skopje. Not with a company, but with a bar! Without any standards, without any guarantee and without any insurance related to the use of food, if it happens that in certain situations we have food poisoning", minister Spasovski denied the presented misinformation, adding that now, after more than 40 years since the establishment of The unit, the difference is clear, says Spasovski.

Now, unlike then, Spasovski says that they have a facility, which they took over from the Ministry of Defense and built a new facility at SAE Tigar.

You know what the Military Club was like then and what standards it is made of now - in terms of nutrition. If you want, you can talk to the police officers about what diet they had before and what they have now, are they satisfied or not?! You can do the same with the economic operator who will start working in both the Training Center and the Gjorce Petrov Police Center," said Minister Spasovski, adding that it is good to share this topic in public to show how much VMRO-DPMNE works against the Macedonian police and the Ministry of the Interior, the minister points out.

Regarding the justification, Spasovski emphasized that the economic analysis shows justification because this is a framework agreement, which does not mean that the estimated value should be used to the end, but will be used according to needs.

There will be no employees who will work in the kitchen, but employees from the company; there is a bank guarantee for quality and timely execution of works and there is an insurance policy for every single user of these canteens - if something happens, damages will be charged. In that part, it is fully ensured that no damage occurs in the part of the operation", said Minister Spasovski, adding that construction activities that are under the competence of the company-operator should be carried out in order to meet the HASAP standards, as well as new tables. new chairs, new cutlery, plates – everything needed for an establishment to serve food when needed, argued Spasovski.

It concluded that the price of meals will be six to nine percent lower, while at the Training Center, the price will be up to 30 percent lower.

First of all, there should be an increase in the quality of food and the satisfaction of the police officers, underlined Minister Spasovski.
