Kovacevski: SONK to quickly accept the conditions, 15% salary increase is historic
The Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski Tonight, through Facebook, he appealed to SONK to accept them quickly and completely terms agreed today in the negotiations with the Ministry of Education and Science.
"We managed to reach a significant agreement for the employees in education and increase the salaries by as much as 15%, starting from the September salary.
This salary increase is the largest so far and together with the 21% increase so far is historically the largest support for employees in education. Until just 5 years ago, the maximum wage increase was 4%, with no global crises.
Now, in conditions of the greatest economic and energy crisis, in addition to the huge percentage increase, the employees in education, through collective agreements will be enabled to comply with the minimum wage and other benefits. At the same time, a methodology for continuous salary growth will be defined, which will protect the standard of teachers and will enable continuous salary increase without the need for additional government, institutional or political intervention.
I appeal to SONK for fast and full acceptance of the agreed conditions and responsibility. "May the institutions continue with concrete activities for the implementation of this historic increase in salaries in education." wrote the Prime Minister.
