The ninth package of anti-crisis measures contains 26 items and will weigh 662 million euros, said Dimitar Kovacevski. The measures will start to apply from December 1, and some measures depending on the payment will start from January. The measures cover 120 thousand young people, over 74 thousand socially vulnerable categories of citizens, more than 187 thousand pensioners, 40 thousand farmers, 540 thousand users of the application "MyDDV", 600 thousand households, as well as more than 70 thousand companies.

- We have fulfilled everything that was requested by the Government, and the regular increase of pensions will follow in March and September next year, so I think we are moving in the right direction - Kovacevski said.

From him and the information that all means to help the most vulnerable categories of citizens are foreseen in the Budget proposal for 2024. Thus, from this package, primary school students from families with incomes below 50.000 denars will receive 1.200 denars per month for the next six months, and 1.800 denars are provided for high school students in the same period. In the next seven months, 15 students studying outside their place of residence will receive a transportation voucher worth 600 to 1.200 MKD per month. A total of 105.000 students are covered, and 14,3 million euros have been provided for this measure. In the next five months, beneficiaries of compensation due to disability, single parents and parents of children with disabilities up to 2.000 years of age will receive 26 denars per month.

"We take care of the most vulnerable categories and no one will be left out, so pensioners whose pensions are up to 14.000 denars will receive 3.000 denars each in the next five months. 2.000 denars will be the assistance for pensioners with incomes from 14.000 to 16.000 denars, while for pensioners with incomes from 16 to 19.000 denars, the assistance will amount to 1.500 denars per month - says Kovacevski.

Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi announced that all measures were designed in direct consultation with the chambers of commerce.
Prime Minister Kovacevski also announced that an advance payment of subsidies is planned for 40.000 farmers, vine growers, fruit growers and livestock farmers, and 8,1 million euros have been earmarked for this purpose. For energy poverty, more than 5.000 families will be given 1 million euros, and there will be electricity subsidies of up to 90 percent for 611.000 families and 68.000 small businesses, and 35 million euros have been allocated for this.

- Subsidies also remain for heating, for which 7,4 million euros are planned - said Kovacevski.

According to the Prime Minister, the package is well designed, but the Government will be careful and will always be here to help the citizens if there are any price shocks.

- We did not have a single day of restrictions on electricity or heating, although it was not our responsibility. Citizens have someone to rely on in 2024, and they will have someone to rely on in the next four years as well. I would not say that the measures expire before, and some even after, the elections. The measures were made for the citizens, not for the elections. The economic policies we lead are for the citizens - Kovacevski said.
