Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski today commented on the accusations coming from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE about the affair in the field of solar business, which according to the opposition's claims is 26 million euros, stressing that it is a desperate attempt by the party to divert attention from the attempts to rigging of the tender with the sewage treatment plant in Skopje, worth 136 million euros. He expects an apology from the party for, as he indicated, these false constructions.

Today, answering a journalist's question regarding the "Broilo" affair, Kovacevski emphasized that he transparently declared everything he owns in his poll sheet, adding that his complete biography was also available in the Parliament, at the time he was elected as Deputy Minister of Finance. and then for the President of the Government, as well as on social media.

- Everything I have worked in my life so far has been the most transparent, given that you, as media, can find everywhere in the entire media space how all the companies in which I was a director or executive director or founder or co-founder functioned, Kovacevski pointed out and added that by assuming the political position as Deputy Minister of Finance, he withdrew his financial assets from "Pixel Group", the company he was the founder of and of which he says he is very proud.

- Regarding the sale of the shares, I have neither any interests nor any obligations regarding the management or operation of that company. What VMRO-DPMNE accuses is all put in questionable forms and refers to the operations of the companies when I was there and when I left. All that is transparent, said the Prime Minister.

He says that what the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, can do right now is to apologize and, as he said, "not to make the MPs, like he did yesterday, present untruths, qualifications, constructions, considering that that I will ask for an apology from them first, and then what follows based on the legal regulations in the country".

When asked if he will file a lawsuit for defamation against Mickoski, Kovacevski replied that for two weeks he had been exposed to constant attacks by VMRO-DPMNE with false constructions against him.

- Regarding the first accusation, I addressed the Parliament where all citizens could hear it, and regarding this I think they should apologize because I have worked in the private sector for 22 years in the most transparent and legal way. Constructions cannot be made from how companies operate that are independent in their operations or that operate on the basis of laws, Kovacevski added, not specifying whether he will sue and stressing that it is the work of the lawyers.

The accusations were made by MP and member of the Executive Committee of VMRO-DPMNE, Mile Lefkov.

- The solar cartel composed of Dimitar Kovachevski and the godfather Goran Paunov was created and started turning over millions with the coming of SDS to power. The Broilo affair shows us how a small group deeply embedded in the highest structures of the government traded influence for their own gain, said Lefkov.

According to the opposition, Kovacevski and his godfather Gorancho Paunov founded the company "Pixel Group" on November 3.11.2017, 26, five months after SDSM formed the Government. According to VMRO-DPMNE, it is an affair of more than XNUMX million euros in the field of solar business and that Kovacevski and Paunov built a solar cartel for personal enrichment.

Yesterday, the company "Pixel Group" came out with a reaction to the accusations of VMRO-DPMNE, which considers that the attacks are abuse in daily police fights.

- We strongly condemn any attempt to discredit and bring our group into correlation with any political structure. We ask that the name of "Pixel Group" and "KMG EOL Quasar" not be used for political marketing, the company says. From there, they add that even before the appointment of Kovachevski as Deputy Minister of Finance, they announced that he was stepping down from the ownership structure of "Pixel Group" because it was incompatible with his political engagement.
