Kovacevski-Minchev: Cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries is extremely important for a common future in the EU

This anniversary, as well as the celebration of 15 years since the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria as a full member of the EU, as symbolic dates will be translated into a new date, which will be recognized after resolving open issues between the two neighboring and friendly countries, which will create conditions for a common future in the European family, said the Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski at today's meeting in Sofia with the Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Nikola Minchev.

According to the government press service, at the meeting, Prime Minister Kovacevski welcomed the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the first decision of the Republic of Bulgaria to recognize the Republic of Macedonia on January 15, 1992, which began the process of verification of our country internationally and on the establishment of diplomatic relations with several countries.

At the meeting, the initiative of the parliaments of Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia for closer cooperation in additional formats was emphasized as extremely important, in addition to those that already exist as standard parliamentary groups for cooperation between the MPs of the two countries.

The government delegation led by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski also included the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations Artan Grubi, the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani. and the Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski.
