Prime Minister Dmitar Kovachevski denies the information of VMRO-DPMNE that deputies from the government will not vote for the constitutional amendments. He considered that it was a failed thesis, as it was that the government will not have enough deputies to pass the government reconstruction. Kovacevski called on VMRO-DPMNE to clarify in the party whose position on the constitutional amendments is in force, whether that of the leader Hristijan Mickoski or the former president Nikola Gruevski.

"What the opposition says has no real basis. That is the only answer to the failed theses that they have, and now that they have nothing to say, they say that they have other MPs, that is not true. The constitutional amendments are an obligation of every party that is in favor of the accession of North Macedonia to the EU. This process cannot be a process of blackmail. There is no declarative support without real support. They need to sit down, think, and show what they say declaratively in reality. I believe that there are MPs from the opposition who want to see this country in the EU. There, the question of who has what position should be clearly asked. The current president of VMRO-DPMNE has one position, and the former president has another position, so the positions will have to be seen in relation to the final position of VMRO-DPMNE on that topic," Kovacevski said.

For support from the opposition for the constitutional amendments, Kovacevski repeated that he is not planning a leadership meeting because there was no need for such a thing.

"There won't even be individual meetings with MPs." I do not hold individual meetings either with MPs from SDSM and the coalition, or with MPs from other parties. I have never practiced such meetings, nor will I practice them. VMRO-DPMNE must decide whether what it says in front of embassies, "give us power and we will change the Constitution unconditionally", it will also say in front of the people. To say whether he is lying to the embassies or the people. First, that question must be answered by the leadership, then we can continue the discussion," Kovacevski said.
