"Citizens gave their trust, the mandate of the deputies to decide for their good, their prosperity, and they did not vote to see a negative competition between politicians, or hunting for political points precisely on topics that mean a better future for those same citizens," said the Prime Minister today. Dimitar Kovacevski, after the held leadership meeting.

- Today I can say that the country is on the right path, from the international community, from our strategic partners we have confirmation of what has been achieved. All of you are witnesses of all the public statements that were made both here in Skopje and abroad by the Chancellor of Germany, the President of France, the President of the EC, the President of the EU, by the Secretary of State of the USA and they had an exceptional clear views in relation to the fact that the state should make the strategic decision that we will continue the path of European integration and become a member of the EU, that the strategic interest of North Macedonia is in accordance with the strategic interests of our partners that you can and hear it directly from them. All of them encourage and support us in our efforts to first make these decisions and secondly in the reforms that are being made and will be made based on the reports from the screening process that is currently underway, Kovacevski said.

According to him, the constitutional amendments are also in that direction.

- These changes do not really refer to any identity issue, but by ensuring the rights of the different communities that live here we protect the identity not only of others, but also our own and we are proud as a functional democratic multi-ethnic, multicultural, multi-confessional society regardless of who which part of society does it belong to, because we are Europe in a neighborhood, considering the diversity of the citizens who live and the culture we have in our country. We are proud of the fact that all the communities who live in it fought for and built this country and who today feel SM as their own home and work on its improvement. That model of coexistence is the nurturing of diversity, and indeed that nurturing of diversity is a supreme European value and is practically the basis of the existence of the EU. It has been recognized and welcomed by the entire democratic world on a public stage, and today we are an example of a society that has resolved its relations within society, and that can also be seen in the report of the UN Secretary-General, Mr. Guterres, where the Ohrid a framework agreement is stated as an agreement that ensures a permanent and sustainable solution in a country that has diversity on different grounds, Kovacevski said.

He repeated that we have so far verified the Macedonian language and identity many times, it is included in the negotiation framework, clearly written as Macedonian language.

- We signed the FRONTEX agreement in the Macedonian language, where all other EU languages stand, approved by all EU member states. All of you who were present at the first intergovernmental conference could see at the translation booths that the Macedonian language was clearly displayed, the bilateral screening that takes place in the EU is currently 80% in the Macedonian language and the EU legislation is translated into the Macedonian language. With that, the obligation assumed by the EU regarding the recognition of a clear, pure Macedonian language without any additions and footnotes or clarifications is fulfilled both through meetings, documents, and through all public appearances. Here I want to share something else, and that is that a large European country, one of the largest, a member of the EU, will pass a resolution in the coming weeks confirming that it recognizes and recognizes unequivocally the Macedonian language, identity and Macedonian culture, which consider that it will enrich the European identity and this will be done by their parliament as the supreme legislative body in this country, Kovacevski pointed out.
