Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski today ordered VMRO-DPMNE to submit the contacts for the purchase of cheap electricity to AD ESM or to the Ministry of Economy.

- Those are the addresses to which the opposition party should address if it really has such contacts and if it wants to help, Kovacevski mentioned, answering a parliamentary question. In his Cabinet, as he pointed out, there is no archive for collecting bids, nor can MPs or ministers with any contacts come, Kovacevski said.

The Prime Minister underlined that any help in these conditions is welcome and will be respected. He also reiterated that on October 15 the heating season will start in Skopje and that there will be heating.

- You are talking about contacts from companies that can provide energy at certain prices. Let those contacts for cheap electricity be submitted to the archive of JSC ESM or to the Minister of Economy so that we can see what the offers are, what the terms of delivery are, what is the point for taking over energy according to international standards, and if the offer is the best, it will be accepted. . Any help in these conditions is welcome, no one refuses anything. If such contacts really exist, these are the addresses: ESM and the Ministry of Economy. Minister Bekteshi is available and during yesterday he already had contacts. There is no archive for offers from companies in my Cabinet. In ESM there is an open procedure for coal, fuel oil and gas. Anyone who has an offer for these energies can immediately submit it there if it meets the conditions. Contacts cannot come to me, no MP or minister can come. There are open calls, publicly announced and the best offer always wins, the Prime Minister emphasizes.

Referring to the measures taken for easier handling of the energy crisis, Kovacevski once again reiterated that the negotiations with Serbia and Turkey for the provision of energy are ongoing.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the decisions made last night by the Economic and Energy Council, according to which all schools in the country are placed on the regulated market, and hospitals will receive cheaper electricity through EVN sales.

- So that there is no physical interruption of teaching, we made a decision to include primary and secondary schools in the regulated market. If the municipalities had reorganized their expenses and rebalanced their budgets and were guided by the fact that there is an energy crisis, there would be no need to be placed on the regulated market. When they made the budgets, they did not take into account that we are in an energy crisis. I said that, but I was criticized, so in the end Danela Arsovska said that she could not deliver anything because we were in an energy crisis. Now everyone realized that they are in an energy crisis, but no one sat down to rebalance, Kovacevski said.

MP Stojanoski from VMRO-DPMNE asked Kovacevski if he intends to call the party leader Hristijan Mickoski to a meeting in the Government to give him the contacts for the purchase of cheaper electricity.

Stojanoski also asked if the government plans to help public enterprises, to which the prime minister replied that they have an obligation to reorganize and restructure expenses.

The deputy was not satisfied with what the prime minister said, because he demanded, as he said, direct answers from him.

Mickovski asks Kovacevski for a debate

On the other hand, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, at a press conference today, invited Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski to a debate regarding the proposal of the opposition party to overcome the energy and heat crisis.

Mickoski told Kovacevski to choose the place and time for the debate, and then answered a journalist's question that he also wanted a meeting with the Government.

He said that many lies are being told about the stability of the parliamentary majority, but that VMRO-DPMNE is working on holding early parliamentary elections.
