"600.000 households and 70.000 companies that are on the regulated market in the country are supplied with subsidized electricity. "If the Government does not subsidize 80 percent of the price of electricity, citizens' bills would be five times higher," says the Prime Minister. Dimitar Kovacevski

He adds that the Government is conducting "intense negotiations with the neighboring countries and other countries to provide electricity at a favorable price for the economy, the large consumers", while, at the same time, our power plants are working at full capacity.

- We held meetings with all the neighboring countries in order to enable the uninterrupted flow of energy. With the Republic of Greece for an uninterrupted supply of coal and fuel oil, because the fuel oil comes from Greece to North Macedonia. With the Republic of Albania for the unimpeded flow of coal as well, because there are also deposits of quality coal there. The extraction of ore from the Živojno mine will now begin. We activated the facilities that were not used for electricity before - Oslomej, TEC Negotino. At the request of the Chamber of Commerce and other chambers of commerce, we have already discussed with the Republic of Bulgaria that there will be no interruption of international electricity connections during the winter. In the past ten years, it has happened three times, when there was a lack of electricity, there was an interruption of the international transit of electricity. We are also talking with the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Republic of Turkey for the provision of electricity at prices that will be appropriate for our economy," Prime Minister Kovacevski said in an interview with NRTV.

The President of the Government added that meetings are currently taking place, in which the President of the Chamber of Commerce is included, to find solutions for the companies to provide electricity at a lower price than that of the world stock markets.
