"I do not adhere to dates and specific deadlines for resolving the dispute with Bulgaria," he said Dimitar Kovacevski in the show "Interview Only", answering the question how he evaluates the meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Kiril Petkov.

Kovacevski reiterated that he is a rational optimist.

- We are working on achieving the goal with Petkov and we will achieve that through the formation of working groups, which should happen next week. The work of the working groups should include business communities, representatives of universities, youth organizations and representatives of other associations. I have an approach that we should reach a solution quickly, but in no way should we hurry. A quality solution that will maintain the dignity of the Macedonian and Bulgarian citizens and will be adopted in the spirit of European values, in accordance with EU rules, said Kovacevski.

He says the government has no intention of doing anything "behind the scenes".

- There is no objection to the language and identity. Nothing is done behind your back. That's why there are conversations. Without touching the interests of the Macedonian and Bulgarian state and in accordance with the Resolution in our Assembly.

Commenting on the opposition's demand for early elections, Kovacevski said it would be "completely useless" for the country at the moment.

- You have nothing new to offer, you just repeat every day that elections are needed. I offered cooperation, I call on the opposition, the academy, the chambers of commerce, the unions to work together in times of crisis to have smaller consequences in the economy, the door is open for all who want to help. But the demands of VMRO DPMNE for elections are not grounded, said Kovacevski.

He stressed that he would not accept blackmail for what would be discussed at a possible meeting with the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski.

- I will contact Mickoski, I will call him, I said under blackmail we will not talk. But, as Prime Minister, I have to talk to everyone, but now the focus is on the energy crisis and everything that is happening in our country. "And I hope he will accept that as an argument and we will talk," said Prime Minister Kovacevski.
