The Kosovo MUP has confirmed that it has begun removing Serbian license plates

The Kosovo Ministry of Interior, together with the Kosovo Police, has launched an operation to remove Serbian license plates at all crossings entering Kosovo. The news was confirmed by the Kosovo Ministry of Interior in the second statement this morning. At the same time, they published a video that shows that the plates are being taken out, writes Kosev.

"On this occasion, the Ministry of Interior made a decision committing to provide license plates for all vehicles with Serbian license plates entering Kosovo at all crossings. "Kosovo police have taken all necessary measures to minimize delays at the crossings," the ministry said.

At the same time, as Kosev writes, they inform them citizens circulating from Kosovo in the direction of central Serbia, that they can use Serbian license plates, but that they must provide temporary license plates when entering Kosovo and for traffic within Kosovo.

As of this morning, special units of the Kosovo Police are located in the immediate vicinity of the two border crossings in the North of Kosovo - Jarinje and Brnjak.

Kosovo police have previously set up several mobile assembly containers in the immediate vicinity of Jarinje yesterday and overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Belgrade and Pristina have been announcing for a week that they will begin implementation, as Kosovo authorities call reciprocity, of the 15th - the removal of Serbian license plates and license plates in northern Kosovo.

Traffic is currently blocked at both crossings, so the passengers cross on foot in both directions and along Jarinje and Brnjak
