The Minister of Interior of Kosovo, Xhelal Svechlja declared the Russian citizen persona non grata Daria Aslamova, which was conducted yesterday during an attempt to enter the country from Serbia, through a border crossing in northern Kosovo, reported the correspondent of MIA from Pristina.

On his Facebook page, Svechlja announced that Aslamova, who he says is reported to be an associate of the Russian intelligence services, has been banned from entering Kosovo for the next five years.

"Based on the Law on Foreigners... I declared Daria Aslamova undesirable in the Republic of Kosovo. This person is prohibited from entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo for five years. Anyone who with certain goals or directives hurts or tries to destabilize our country will undoubtedly face the force of the laws of the Republic of Kosovo," Svechlja wrote.

On the occasion of Aslamova's detention, the Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs said yesterday that there are many evidences and confirmations from several countries, in which she has already been banned from entering, about her intelligence and propaganda activities for the needs of the Russian secret services.

He mentioned that her attempt to enter Kosovo comes after last week's riots in the northern part of the country and after yesterday's shootings of members of the Kosovo border police on the border with Serbia, for which he says Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is responsible.

"We emphasize that she is trying to enter Kosovo a week after the tensions caused by the criminal structures in the north and on the same day when the same structures, orchestrated by Vucic, fired ten bullets at our police officers. "Her attempt to enter our country not only corresponds to the events in the north, but also clearly confirms the connections with the Russian propaganda, which Serbia has already joined and which aims to destabilize our country," Svechlja wrote.
