Starting Wednesday, December 1, 2021, Konzum allows customers to pay with cryptocurrencies in its online store, making it the first retail chain in Croatia to offer this type of payment.

Thus, individuals and legal entities, owners of cryptocurrencies, can buy and pay for groceries, hygiene and household items and other products from the rich offer of the online store of Konzum with more than 12.000 items.

The Consum online store will be able to use nine different payment cryptocurrencies - bitcoin (BTC), etherium (ETH), bitcoin cash (BCH), EOS, DAI, ripple (XRP), stellar lumen (XLM), tether (USDT) and USDC.

The process of paying with cryptocurrencies is simple and similar to paying with cards. Once you have selected the desired cryptocurrency, the amount in its equivalent will be displayed and a QR code and payment address will be generated, after which the client will simply scan the QR code exclusively with the personal cryptocurrency.

Given the volatility of the cryptocurrency exchange rate, which can vary from minute to minute, the PayCek system when initiating the transaction will guarantee the buyer a fixed exchange rate in time sufficient for its successful execution.
