It seems that Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner's agonizing divorce proceedings are over. The couple finally agreed.

"Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutual agreement to resolve all issues related to their divorce proceedings," Kevin's spokesperson said in a statement, reports the magazine. "People" (People).

The turn of events is surprising, given the couple's contentious legal battle over the past few months since Christine filed for divorce on May 1 after 18 years of marriage.

But her close friends say Christine still had to agree to Kevin Costner's terms.

"Christine had no choice but to go along with what Kevin asked because he had all the power and was in his own hands." If he continued to fight, he would eventually lose everything. Baumgartner allegedly claims in the filings that the children live with their father in a beachfront compound worth between $65 million and $95 million and travel on private jets while on luxury vacations with him.

The handbag designer claims the actor should have paid more in child support "so the kids can have similar vacations when they're with her, and that's right, even if the child support payments improve Christine's lifestyle."
