President Gashi informed the Commission on Elections and Appointments about the received letters from SDSM and Besa. Boris Kondarko is a proposal from SDSM for SEC. The advertisement for the two members from VMRO-DPMNE will be announced at the session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments, according to the office of Speaker Afrim Gashi.

Boris Kondarko will be the new president, a Abdush Demiri vice president of the State Election Commission (SEC) after the change of government. The Assembly confirms for "Free Press" that to the president of the parliament Afrim Gashi SDSM and Besa received letters with proposals for Kondarko and Demiri, who are current members of the SEC.

According to parliamentary sources, at the plenary session on Wednesday, the Parliament is expected to issue an announcement for two more members of the SEC, who should be on the proposal of VMRO-DPMNE to fully complete the highest electoral body in the country.

After the holiday, it was announced that the new parliamentary commission for monitoring fair representation will be staffed. The former president of the Parliament, now a member of parliament, has been proposed as the chairman of this commission Talat Xhaferi.

- President Gashi informed the Commission on Elections and Appointments about the correspondence received from SDSM and BESA. Boris Kondarko is a proposal from SDSM for SEC. The advertisement for the two members from VMRO-DPMNE will be advertised at the session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments - say Gashi's office.

A month ago, the Speaker of the Assembly informed the parties that due to a change in government, they should propose candidates for the presidential and vice-presidential positions in the SEC.
After the change of government, the president of the SEC should be from the opposition SDSM, while the vice president should be from the Vredi coalition.
After the SEC member proposed by VMRO-DPMNE, Boban Stojanoski, was elected as the Deputy General Secretary of the Assembly, there was one vacancy left in the SEC which should be filled at the proposal of the ruling party.
On the proposal of VMRO-DPMNE, one more member of the SEC will have to be elected, because according to the Electoral Code, in the Commission, the winning party has three members, while the opposition has two.

Dashtevski remains a member of the Commission

From VMRO-DPMNE they say that after the Parliament publishes an advertisement for two new members of the SEC, the party bodies will discuss personnel solutions. It is only certain that the current president of the SEC Aleksandar Dashtevski remains a member of the Commission.

DUI only confirms that the current vice-president of the SEC Ditmire Shehu remains in the SEC, but she too now only as a member of the Commission. DUI does not comment on whether they will problematize the completion of the SEC, because they are considered the winners of the elections with the European Front. From there, they only say that "by disregarding electoral legitimacy, there will be ambiguities in many spheres".
Most likely, the SEC will not repeat the situation from last year when it was not completed for almost a year due to the quarrel between the parties Besa and Alliance for the Albanians about who should delegate a member of the Commission.

SEC has seven members, including the president and vice president. The Electoral Code stipulates that the opposition should propose a president and two members of the SEC, and the parties in power should propose a vice president and three members of the SEC.

In the event of a change of political parties in opposition or political parties in power, then the Parliament harmonizes the composition of the SEC, so that parties that have changed from power to opposition submit to the parliament a proposal for the president of the SEC from the members in the existing composition and a proposal for termination in office before the expiration of the mandate of one of the members proposed by them.
Parties that have moved from opposition to power submit a proposal for the vice-president of the SEC from the members in the existing composition and one member to the MPs, for which the Assembly announces the election of one member of the SEC.

The President, Vice-President and members of the SEC are elected by the Assembly with a two-thirds majority of votes from the total number of MPs.

Ristevski remains a member, Ristesca will retire due to age

After the change of government, the president of the SEC will be Kondarko from the opposition SDSM. The current member also remains a member Oliver Ristovski, and the third member of the SEC from SDSM, Radica Ristesca, will retire due to age.
VMRO-DPMNE, as the ruling party, loses the presidential seat it currently holds Dashtevsky, but there will be three members. Since Stojanoski is no longer a member of the SEC, the Assembly will have to advertise for two new members who will come on the proposal of VMRO-DPMNE.
The vice-presidential post belongs to the government, in this case the coalition It's worth it. According to this, the vice president Ditmire Shehu of DUI will have to cede the position of Abdush Demiri from Worth.

Next week, the Commission for Monitoring Fair Representation will be equipped

The Commission for Elections and Appointments is expected to meet next week, which should be staffed by the Commission for monitoring the appropriate and fair representation of citizens belonging to the communities. He is proposed by the European Front as President of the Commission Talat Xhaferi, and for members Ilir Demiri и Sally Murat.
After the holiday, other parliamentary parties are expected to propose members for the Commission. The ad hoc commission was established after the agreement between VMRO-DPMNE and DUI. DUI supported the Government Reorganization Law and in return received a Commission for Fair Representation.
