A commission of the Public Prosecutor will monitor any irregularities in the election process
The Public Prosecutor's Office informs that it continuously monitors the developments related to the election process through the establishment of a temporary Commission for monitoring possible irregularities related to the commission of crimes under Chapter 16 of the Criminal Code - "crimes against elections and voting", as well as other crimes would be done in organizing and conducting local elections.
- Public prosecutors are committed in the fight against crimes related to the election process and voting, contributing to their suppression and prevention, according to the Public Prosecutor.
The Prosecutor's Office also informs that additional duty shifts will be established in the Public Prosecutor's Offices during tomorrow's election day.
- In the process of mutually coordinated reporting, the Commission will monitor the voting process. Prosecutions will urgently and with priority continue to act on indications of election-related crimes. The received notifications will be immediately forwarded to the relevant basic public prosecutor's offices, in order to check the allegations and make decisions for further action, the statement added.
The Public Prosecutor's Office also reminds that the open e-mail address is operational [email protected], where anyone who considers that in a procedure there are indications of a crime related to the election process can submit a submission or report to the Commission for Monitoring Election Irregularities.
