Kavkalevska is the winner of many awards, educated in Macedonia, Sofia, Graz, Zagreb, debuted on the MOB stage in 1996 with the role of Madalena in "Rigoletto". She performed at many festivals and opera stages, and her repertoire is filled with successful creations in "Carmen", "Aida", "Nabucco", "The Power of Fate", "Sister Angelica", "Luli Caesar in Egypt" "The Barber of Seville" , "The Bat", "Ivan Susanin", "Tsar Samuel"...
"Already in her first appearance, Irena Kavkalevska was a true embodiment of Carmen, the unscrupulous seductress. She absolutely captivated with the stagecraft, she controlled the entire action, she was clearly comfortable in the role she was portraying. Comfortable and self-confident on stage, she very strikingly captured the fatal feminine charm", said the music critic about the creation of our artist in the famous opera by Georges Bizet.
