Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is to blame for the crisis in Kosovo because he "first appointed Albanians as mayors of municipalities that are not recognized by the Serbian majority despite the advice of the entire international community. Then followed the unilateral move of the Government in Pristina to use force without consulting usKFOR commander, General Angelo Michele Rastuccia told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, reported Beta.

The Italian general emphasized that "this made the intervention of KFOR necessary to avoid a tragedy" and that "steps have been taken for two years that drag us backwards and now it is enough with unilateral actions".

"The NATO mission cannot and must not be considered a cover and protection for unilateral moves that undermine the very fragile balance," the commander of KFOR clearly stated in an interview with the journalist of "Corriere della Sera" from Pristina.

The report underlines that "the commander of KFOR is still under the impression of everything, because it could have caused casualties if his soldiers, who placed themselves between the angry Serbs and the Kosovo military police, had not intervened."

To the question "was it not an action of the government acting on its territory", General Rastucha answers that "we must not pretend that there is a normal situation, because these are decisions made without our consent and by the stakeholders".

"It in no way contributes to mutual trust, the harmful consequences of such moves must always be assessed, and when Prime Minister Kurti spoke to me, he always said that he agreed with such an approach," explained the KFOR commander.
