Literary translation: The novel "Threads of Fate" by Maria Duenias

The jubilee 600th book published by "Anthologist" from Skopje is the translation of the novel "Threads of Fate" by the Spanish author Maria Duenjas. The novel was published within the project "Brave new words, beautiful new worlds". It is a work that raised Maria Duenias to the top of the most widely read authors in Spain and throughout the Hispanic world. The reader has in front of him an exciting historical-spy novel, in which high fashion, political conspiracies and secret services are intertwined.

Maria Duenias (1964) is a Spanish writer. She has been a professor of English and literature at the University of Murcia and several universities in North America. Her first novel, Threads of Destiny, published in 2009, immediately achieved great international success. It has been translated into more than 25 languages, and a television series has been filmed. She won the Cartagena Award for Historical Novel in 2010 and the Madrid Culture Award for Literature in 2011.

In the edition of "Threads of Destiny" in Macedonian, the translation from Spanish is the work of Violeta Jagev, and the graphic editing is by Marko Trpeski. The book was published with the support of the "Creative Europe" program of the European Union and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia.
