The book about Skopje with the title "City" by Ivan Jeparoski has been translated into Serbian

Front cover of the book

The publishing house "Gramatik" from Belgrade (Serbia) recently published the poetry collection "City" by the Macedonian poet and aesthetician Ivan Jeparoski. The book was translated from Macedonian to Serbian by the famous Serbian poet and writer Rajko Lukacs.

By the way, this translation of the book "City", which is entirely dedicated to the native city of Skopje of the poet Djeparoski, coincides with the sixtieth anniversary of the Skopje earthquake (1963), for which several songs are sung in this poetic work.

The book "Grad" is Rajko Lukacs' second poetic rendition of Ivan Dzeparoski's poetry, after the publication of the poetic work "Svetlina na Sveta Gora" ("Light of the Holy Mountain") in 2018, for which Dzeparoski received the highest poetic award in 2016 with us - the "Miladinovci Brothers" award at the Struga evenings of poetry.

(The text was published in "Cultural Press" number 180, in the printed edition of the newspaper "Sloboden Pechat" on 27-28.5.2023)
