The book "Pandemic and Posthumanism" by Ivan Jeparoski will be promoted in KIC

The Cultural and Information Center - Skopje has announced the promotion of the book "Pandemia and Posthumanism" (essays) by Ivan Jeparoski, which will be held on September 28, starting at 19.19:2 p.m., in Salon "Imperial XNUMX". The book is published by "Mi-An" Publishing House.

The book "Pandemia and Posthumanism" (essays) by the renowned Macedonian philosopher, esthetician and theorist of culture prof. Dr. Ivan Jeparoski, is one of the first works of this kind in our country, which analyzes the issues related to the changes that are happening in our time, both on a global and a local level. The approach to these current issues is from the point of view of the relations between the covid-19 pandemic, on the one hand, and posthumanism and transhumanism, on the other.

The book will be promoted by Natasha Avramovska and Michel Pavlovski, and the promotion will be musically enriched with a performance by Biljana Petrovska - piano.

Ivan (Ivica) Jeparoski (May 9, 1958, Skopje) is a philosopher, esthetician, critic, anthologist and poet. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, where he received his master's degree and doctorate. He is the author of over thirty books: fifteen books in the field of aesthetics and cultural theory, eight poetry books, three poetry anthologies and eight literary-theoretical and essay selections.

For his work, he has received the following awards: "Young Fighter" (1984), "Dimitar Mitrev" (1993), "Paradigma" (2009), "Brothers Miladinovci" (2016) and "Literary Scepter" (2021). He is also the winner of the "Grigor Prlichev" award (1993) for poetry translation.

He works at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje as a full professor of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Culture. In several mandates he was the head of the Institute of Philosophy (2004-2009; 2013-2021), the head of the postgraduate studies of this institute (2009-2013) and the secretary of the Macedonian PEN-center (1999-2001; 2008-2014).

He is currently the head of the postgraduate Intercultural Studies (2021-2022) at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje. He also deals with translation: William Blake, James Joyce, Joseph Brodsky, David Hume, etc.

His poetry and some of his essays have been translated into over twenty foreign languages ​​worldwide, and selections of his poetry have been published in separate books in English, Bulgarian, Serbian, Albanian and Romanian. His book "The Macedonian Essay" has been translated into English, French, German, Russian, Spanish and Chinese (2011-2016), while the book "Artwork" (2018) – into Albanian.
