The meeting of the Commission for Infectious Diseases, which reviewed the current epidemiological situation with covid-19 in the country, was also attended by Minister of Health Bekim Sali.

According to the daily reports from the infectious wards and covid centers, as it is pointed out, a total of 573 people are currently hospitalized, of which 180 in Skopje and 393 people in infectious wards in the country.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health instructed the university clinics, the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis, the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis in Children Kozle-Skopje and the Special Hospital for Geriatric and Palliative Medicine "November 13", while increasing the number of new who need hospitalization to be organizationally prepared to carry out the health treatment of patients with covid-19. Regarding the medical staff, the public health institutions are notified and are obliged to appoint persons - middle medical staff to be involved in the work of KIBFS (nurses and paramedics).

The Commission on Infectious Diseases, following the epidemiological situation, also recommended with the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2021–2022, teaching to take place with physical presence for all students in primary and secondary education with consistent observance of preventive measures and protocols, the statement said.
