Kipyegon set a new world record in the 1.500 meters race

Faith Kipyegon at the rally from The Diamond League in Florence he set a new world record in the 1.500 meter race.

The Kenyan athlete, the two-time Olympic champion finished the race in 3:49,11 minutes.

The previous record was set in July 2015 by Genzebe Dibaba of Ethiopia (3:50,07).

The second place on the track was won by British Laura Muir, who crossed the finish line in 3:57,09 minutes.

The Australian Jessica Hull (3:57,29 minutes, a new Oceania record) climbed to the podium as third place.
