Kyiv: In the Russian region of Kursk, we captured over 100 Russian soldiers, and destroyed a plane
Official Kiev said that Ukraine has conquered new territories in Russia's Kursk region, where it has captured an additional number of Russian soldiers and destroyed a plane.
The commander of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Sirsky, said in a video posted on Telegram that Ukrainian forces had advanced one to two kilometers in some parts of Kursk. Sirski added that the Ukrainian forces captured more than 100 Russian soldiers today, who will be exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners.
The Ukrainian army also destroyed a Russian Su-34 aircraft, which was used to attack positions and cities in Ukraine.
The spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday that Kiev does not intend to occupy Russian territory, but the goal is to prevent missile attacks from Kursk on Ukraine. The offensive will end when the war in Ukraine ends.
