"Katerina, Velika i Mala" by Montenegrin writer Olja Knezevic is a bold and fierce novel

The publishing company Makedonika Litera has published the novel "Katerina, Velika i Mala" by Montenegrin writer Olja Raicevic Knezevic, who lives in Croatia. The translation from Croatian into Macedonian is by Elena Sazdovska.

The work is the winner of the competition for unpublished novel of the publishing house VBZ from Zagreb in 2019 and is a Croatian bestseller. It is a bold and fierce novel. The author writes directly, without restraint, without prejudice and with passion for many women's topics and dilemmas, and especially openly about growing up, about love, sex, love and marriage.

Olja Knezevic is a writer whose prose does not enter optimism, nor does it run away from fashion activism. Her novel scans family relationships and tragedies, female friendships, love betrayals and deceptions, departures and escapes, various social miles, but also the wider social context of confusing and neuralgic events that guide human destinies.

This novel, in fact, is a novel about the modern Balkan woman, where power and money, different political options, heritage and homelands are fighting for domination, reveal from "Makedonika litera".
