The handball players of Eurofarm Pelister started their performances in the European League with a defeat at home. The citizens of Bitola were defeated with 21:26 by the French Nimes due to the disastrous game in the first half, which scored only six goals.

Elmir Gradjan scored the first goal of the match, which was followed by an incredible drop in the game of Bitola who 11 minutes later failed to overcome the great goalkeeper of Nimes, Remy Debone. During that time, Nimes scored seven goals in a row.

Then Stipe Mandaliniќ scored two goals in a row, but the French fought back and in the 20th minute they had an advantage of 4:11.

The coach of E. Pelister, Zeljko Babic tried to change tactics and started playing seven to six, but Bitola had too many lost balls in the attack that allowed the opponent easy goals.

On top of that, the goalkeeper Debone shone, who had eight saves in the first half, and at the same time scored three goals. The disastrous game of the handball players of Europharm Pelister, best reflects the result at the end of the first part, 6:15.

The second half started with a mini series of 3: 0 of Bitola, but Nim retaliated with a series of 0: 4 and in the 41st minute for the first time the difference was double-digit (9:19) after which it was quite clear that E. Pelister will start its performances in the European League with a defeat. In the finish, the citizens of Bitola used the relaxation of the opponent and managed to avoid a convincing defeat, in the end they were defeated by four goals, 21:26.

The most accurate in the ranks of E. Pelister was Stipe Mandalinic with seven goals, Elmir Gradjan scored five goals, Taboada scored four goals, while Nimes featured Mohamed Sanad with seven goals and goalkeeper Debone who had 11 saves and three goals.
In the second round, E. Next Tuesday, Pelister will play against the team of Kadeten Schaffhausen.
