Karate player Pecevska "golden" at the Balkan Championship for cadets, juniors and U-21

Macedonian karateka Iva Pecevska in the category up to 48 kg won first place at the Balkan Championship for cadets, juniors and U-21 in Rijeka.

Pecevska won the gold medal in the Croatian city ahead of second-placed Lana Kockarevic (Croatia), and third place was shared by Massa Magajna (Slovenia) and Sena Hatice Kajajan (Turkey).

In Rijeka, several of our competitors, Redzep Rushiti, won medals in the 63 kg category. cadets won the bronze, Bosnian Tarik Salkic was first.

In the category up to -76 kg. junior bronze was won by Simon Petreski and Andrej Angelovski, with Omar Halilovic (BiH) at the top, ahead of Greece's Christoforos Katsoulas, and Aleksandar Nedelkovski third in the U-21 kata.

777 karatekas from 13 countries have registered for this Balkan Championship: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
