The ex-minister of defense of Bulgaria, Krasimir Karakachanov, but from the position of his doctorate in international law and international relations, addressed the Bulgarian authorities critically in relation to the announced visit of the president Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to Sofia, where she will follow the performance of the opera " Nabucco" of the National Opera and Ballet together with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, and her stay in the Bulgarian capital will also be used for the first meeting between the two presidents.

"North Macedonian president Gordana Siljanovska will arrive in Bulgaria on Friday, accompanied by the minister of culture of our western neighbor. She is coming to the opera house in Sofia and maybe she will meet President Radev. What does this mean? This means that Siljanovska is coming to Bulgaria not on an official visit, but as a lover of opera art and, by the way, she will meet some officials. This is an attempt to escape from official talks. It also means that North Macedonia continues to think that nothing depends on Bulgaria's decisions and can continue to escalate its anti-Bulgarian rhetoric, relying on external factors to decide for Bulgaria. To some extent they are right, they observe the spineless and humiliating policy of "random persons" who have ruled Bulgaria for the last 3 years, and that it is not the Bulgarian government that determines us, but the "embassies", Dr. Karakachanov wrote on his Facebook profile .

He recalls that after she was elected in May 2024, Siljanovska repeatedly "neglected the normal relations with Bulgaria, stating that the Friendship and Good Neighbor Agreement between the RSM and Bulgaria did not say anywhere that they should change their constitution to include The Bulgarians. She even says in her public appearances that she will remind President Radev that agreements are not eternal."

- Its boss Mickoski openly sabotaged the relations with Bulgaria, he even refused to talk to the Bulgarian government because it was a technicality. He openly opposes the construction of Corridor number 8, because the priority of the Macedonian government was to have a relationship with Belgrade and Thessaloniki - emphasized Karakachanov.

Following the announcement, the president of the Bulgarian VMRO asked the official institutions in Bulgaria how long they will tolerate such an attitude.

- Official Sofia should stop the policy of hanging panties and humiliating slavery imposed on us from the outside and firmly raise the issues of respecting the agreement signed with Skopje in 2017. Bulgaria should not deviate from the demands to stop the language of hatred and persecution of Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as the recognition of Bulgarians as a constituent people in the RSM - Karakachanov is categorical and adds that everything else is pointless.

Karakachanov believes that there is no need for such parties at the opera, that is, from the announced joint viewing of the opera "Nabucco" with which the National Opera and Ballet is visiting in Sofia.

- If the president and the government want something to change in our bilateral relations, they should let the opera lover Siljanovska watch the play alone, have a bite of a sandwich during the break and leave. And if he wants to negotiate with Bulgaria, next time he should come on an official visit with a concrete agenda for talks, and not push oriental tricks in the style of Belgrade's ex-Yugoslav policy - Karakachanov told the Bulgarian authorities who will welcome Siljanovska on Friday in Sophia.
