The cadets triumphed at the EHF Championship and secured a place at WC 2023 and EP 2024

The cadet national team of Macedonia achieved great success, triumphing at the EHF championship, which brought them an appearance at two major competitions in the next two years.

The Cadets defeated Switzerland 24:22 in the final of the EHF Championship played in Riga, Latvia with a twist in the finish and secured an appearance at the Cadet World Championship in 2023 and the European Youth Championship in 2024.

The whole match was a balanced game and a big fight between the two teams, Macedonia had the biggest advantage of three goals (13:10, 10:7), while the Swiss were mostly in the lead in the second half.

At the end, the team of head coach Rade Stojanovic was losing 20:22 with eight minutes to go, but with the goals of Shuleski and Dimkovski they equalized at 22:22. Then, with 1.10 minutes to go, Dimkovski scored for 23:22, and Karasmanakis put Karasmanakis for the EHF championship title.

Tomislav Dimkovski was the most accurate for Macedonia with seven goals, Aleksandar Petkovski scored six, while Mirce Kalajdzieski scored four goals, while for the Swiss Gino Stanarts was the best with 11 goals.
