Where did Mileski's resignation get stuck?
The resignation of the Minister of Local Self-Government, Goran Mileski, has not yet been submitted to the Parliament, and it is not known when the new Minister, Risto Penov, who comes from the ranks of the Liberal Democratic Party, will be elected. Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski said today that the election will be coordinated with the President of the Assembly in terms of scheduling the sessions, but he did not say when the Government will send the resignation to the Parliament.
The Assembly points out that if the resignation is sent to them this week, it could be ascertained at the new session that the President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, has scheduled for October 17. If a proposal for the election of a new minister arrives with the resignation, the voting could be carried out on the same day at a new session.
Jaferi informed about convening a new session today at the regular Monday meeting with the coordinators of the parliamentary groups. Also, he again appealed to the presidents of the committees to convene these parliamentary bodies for more efficient work of the Parliament. The coordinator of the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Micevski, did not attend the coordination today.
