"As a candidate state that has been waiting for a long time, we do not have the luxury of not maintaining relations with member states or with those member states that are our neighbors. It will absolutely not help anyone in the context of European integration", said the director of the Institute for European Politics - EPI, Simonida Katsarska in the morning program of the Free Press.

She added that it is important for our country that the commission through the directorate looks at us through the prism of those countries that potentially in the next 7 to 10 years would have the capacity to meet the obligations of membership.

"The experience of European integrations has shown that the commissioner should not cheer as much as the directorate itself should give support to the countries that are in the process of accession," Katsarska said.

According to her, the new composition of the European Commission must deal with the enlargement and it must be discussed already in the next financial framework of the EU.
