Bulgarian Health Minister Stoycho Kacarov predicts that the worst-case scenario is that the capacity of the country's hospitals will be exhausted and they will not be able to accept patients.

According to the MIA correspondent from Sofia, the Bulgarian minister believes that the current wave of pandemics must be overcome in 10-15 days, otherwise there will be a big problem with hospitals.

According to Kacarov, in 10-15 days Bulgaria will have a big problem. Yesterday, he met with the directors of the hospitals in Sofia, who stated that new beds are constantly being made, but the capacity of both staff and respirators is almost exhausted.

The minister says there are no respirators. Bulgaria has been promised to receive respirators from the World Bank.

The EU health commissioner suggested that if the worst-case scenario happened, patients should be sent from Bulgaria to other countries.

- I do not want to scare people, but the situation is extremely serious and that made us resort to such measures, which are obviously not popular, said Kacarov.
