June warmer and wetter compared to multi-year average values

HMRC announced that according to the measurements and observations of the meteorological stations in the country, June 2022 is characterized as a warmer than usual and wet month compared to the many-year average values.

The absolute temperature fluctuation was 32 degrees, while the monthly temperature fluctuation was 10,2 degrees and ranged from 16 in Lazaropole to 26,2 in Gevgelija. Compared to average June monthly temperatures for a thirty-year period (1981-2010), this year's temperature was 1,7 degrees above the statewide average.

The average maximum temperature varied from 21,3 degrees in Lazaropole to 31,5 in Gevgelija. The highest maximum temperature was measured on June 23 in Gevgelija and was 37,7 degrees. The mean minimum temperature varied from 8,8 in Lazaropole to 17,9 in Gevgelija. The lowest minimum temperature during the month was measured in Lazaropole, on June 19, and was 5,8 degrees, according to HMRC.

According to the Administration, the fluctuation of the monthly amount of precipitation in the state amounted to 100 millimeters and ranged from 23,7 in Gevgelija to 123,1 millimeters in Mavrovo. The maximum daily amount of precipitation of 90,3 millimeters was registered on June 11 in Mavrovo.

Compared to the June multi-year average (1981-2010), the measured monthly precipitation total was 14 millimeters or 29 percent above the statewide average.
